Established in 2005 Nu Image is the brainchild of award winning celebrity Master Barber Herbert Humphrey a/k/a Herb.  A 17-year plus veteran barber, who’s worked at, managed, and owned 20 successful barbershops is the priceless experience that Herb brings to Nu Image.  Born in Deerfield, Florida Herb became a local legend of sorts when at the tender age of 11, he became the Deerfield area’s most in demand stylist prompting many to start referring to him as a barber prodigy.  Never before had Herb’s community, or surely any other for that matter, witnessed a barber not yet 12 years of age cut with such poise and precision as he displayed on a consistent basis.  Embracing his gift at an extremely young age has paid major dividends for the immensely talented Florida native who has traveled extensively throughout the country perfecting his often imitated but never duplicated signature cutting style.

Having cut hair in many of the most popular regions in the United States has thoroughly taught Herb the “do’s and don’ts” of the barber profession, but more importantly how to listen to the wants and needs of his clients.  For this reason, Herb who has won numerous barber competitions refuses to allow any stylist to work at Nu Image that doesn’t possess “A-1” customer service skills.  Placing client satisfaction over quick monetary compensation is why all stylist at Nu Image Barbershop rarely, if ever answer their cell phones while servicing clients, unless it’s an absolute emergency.  While profanity, rude behavior, fighting, drugs, alcohol, unauthorized solicitation, inappropriate attire, loitering, or any other form of disrespect towards patrons, whether male or female, is not tolerated.  Simply put, Nu Image is a beautifully decorated state of the art barbershop facility featuring five extremely skilled barbers where children, single parent mothers, and senior citizens can feel both comfortable and safe as they wait to be styled.  Additionally, for the busy professional Nu Image stylists will provide mobile barbering services.  Specializing in a wide variety of classic and contemporary hairstyles as well as eyebrow arching to meet the needs of even the pickiest of patrons is and always will be Nu Image’s recipe for success.
