Growing up in a city where drug dealers, thieves, conmen, pimps, and street gang members preyed upon the weak and misguided, taught Mr. Johnson the ultra importance of getting a quality education. A gifted student since a young lad, he was raised with the mindset that a great education is the key to escaping or avoiding a life of poverty and despair. A thought process he would later use to excel at Tuskegee University where Mr. Johnson received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, the University of Pittsburgh MBA program (1 year), and at Dartmouth College (Tuck) Graduate School of Business where he completed the Executive Business program with honors. Armed with faith in God and a well thought out 25 year life plan for success, which he created as a college sophomore, that consisted of acquiring all needed degrees and certifications, serving God, selecting the right soul mate, having a family, providing a home for his family, being a role model in his community, aiding charitable causes, and mastering as well as raising the standards for real estate excellence in America and globally, are the indelible attributes that have made Mr. Johnson one of the most respected men in America.
In a career, that spans more than three decades, Mr. Johnson has attained a level of success few humans past or present could ever dream of achieving. Monumental accomplishments to include, earning the real estate industry’s highest designation of CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Manager); Asset Manager where he was responsible for overseeing real estate portfolios in excess of $550 million for the U.S. Department of Housing and Development (HUD); Facility Management; and Tenant Representation on a regional level for eight southeastern states under the General Services Administration of the U.S. Federal Government; a licensed real estate broker in eight states (Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, North and South Carolina, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Alabama), being regularly featured in “Who’s Who”, a national publication of prominent businessmen; former chairman of the CCIM Institute’s Cultural Diversity Advisory Board, proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and long time member of the CCIM Institute’s Board of Directors. Additionally, the devoted father of one is also the author of the much-anticipated book entitled “Tovya: Not by Sight”. Tovya is a Hebrew word for “God is good” or “God is great”.

Never one to sit idle, Mr. Johnson is a member of Toastmasters International (Dunwoody, Georgia chapter) and an associate member of the National Speakers Association (NSA) of Georgia for which he frequently travels the globe as an in demand motivational speaker empowering thousand’s on the keys to success, proving Chattman Johnson, Jr. isn’t just a credit to the black race, but the human race as well.
