CURBSIDE RECYCLING

Nearly eight decades after the passing of the brilliant George Washington Carver, the Godfather of what we now know as the “green movement”, his dream of a planet in which all of earth’s creations could thrive as well as survive in cohesive bliss, is vastly becoming a reality.  For Dr. Carver’s unyielding passion and love for planet earth, was equal to that of his respect for all mankind.  In a world where nature’s elements have become restricted from blossoming due to man’s disregard and sheer laziness has given birth to a nation of people who have killed as quickly as it has produced wonders to the world.  As a great deal of humans continue about their normal avocations unfazed about the grave fate awaiting planet earth and its inhabitants, a new movement made up of people representing all ethnicities, social classes, religious beliefs, and political affiliations is being universally embraced.  These humanitarian heroes are armed with the vital knowledge about the demise of a civilization rapidly on the brink of global destruction, sooner than later.  The name that these pillars of righteousness have assumed for their movement is G.R.E.E.N., which is an acronym for “God Reinforcing Earth’s Essential Needs”.  For those who have a problem with hearing the Creator’s name used to motivate and inspire positive change should ask themselves, of that whom they place their trusted faith in, is their purpose not the same

On a planet where the acceptance of international ignorance has given way to a society of many who have adopted the selfish mindset of business as usual in the form of not caring nor getting involved in causes that don’t directly affect them in a physical, mental, spiritual, political, or monetary way, has brought about a world where the majority of those possessing wealth and power are the only one’s capable of enjoying earth’s natural beauty and splendor.  Never before in the history of earth’s existence has the planet been in such extreme disarray as it currently is.  Even with countless t-shirts, baseball caps, billboards, internet, television, and radio commercials, and celebrity endorsements promoting the slogan “going green”, is sadly becoming a major fad amongst those in the know instead of the global call to arms it should be to bring about the type of monumental change needed to save our planet and ourselves.  Heroic change similar to that so profoundly stated in Lester R. Brown’s thought-provoking book entitled “Plan B 4.0 Mobilizing to Save Civilization”, where the world renowned green authority outlines in detail components needed to save our planet from ruins. Some of the components are, cutting net carbon dioxide emissions by 80% by 2020; eradicating poverty; and restoring the earth’s natural systems, including its soils, aquifers, forests, grasslands, and fisheries.  Additionally, following the aftermath of the epic 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill, American’s and non-Americans alike should be willing to follow the leads of eco-friendly trailblazers such as President Barack Obama and former Vice President Al Gore in finding alternative methods of fueling cars, trucks, buses, boats, trains, planes, etc., to decrease our dependency on deadly diesel fuels proven to cause cancer and asthma.  The damage done to the environment by vehicles that burn toxic fuels is often in low-income areas where those who already have it bad end up worse.

The G.R.E.E.N. global movement is a reminder to all of earth’s occupants that the indelible rights extended to all humans in the form of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness would and should be equally encompassing of planet earth, animals, oceans, and nature so that God’s creations can co-exist as originally intended.  At a time when the immortal words of former slain President John F. Kennedy apply more today than ever before, “Ask not what your country can do for you but ask what you can do for your country”, should be respectfully amended to read “Ask not what your planet can do for you but what can you do for your planet”, and must become the mantra of generation next and all persons who call earth their home, if our planet is to stand a chance of being around for generations upon generations to come.

Now for those wondering what they can do, Curbside Recycling has the answer for you.  Innovators of the highest kind in the use of biofuel, is what motivated Todd V. Williams and Richard Younge, owners and founders of Curbside Recycling to join the urgent fight to save our planet.  Strongly believing if all earthlings were fully aware of the catastrophic severities facing our planet that they would make a change for the better is what inspired Todd and Richard, two steadfast champions for a green society to select the immensely popular city of Atlanta, Georgia to launch their groundbreaking biodiesel initiatives.  Noting that Atlanta’s multi-million dollar sewage problems similar to those of most major U. S. cities of the same population could be eliminated by households discarding their daily or periodically used cooking oil into recyclable containers for a fraction of the cost compared to bills for gas, water, and electricity would drastically affect the living conditions of all concerned for the better, is an example of the priceless thought process of two noble souls bent on “greening” the planet one household at a time.
